On or about August 16, 2022, Tift Regional Health System, Inc. (“Tift”) detected unusual activity on its internal network, indicating a data breach. Based on an investigation, Tift confirmed that cybercriminals gained access to its systems and potentially acquired the sensitive personal information of at least 180,142 individuals.

As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
