Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service Data Breach

In May 2023, Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. (“Superior Air-Ground Ambulance”) detected suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a subsequent forensic investigation, Superior Air-Ground Ambulance determined that cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured computer systems and thereby gained access to its data files during the period May 15, 2023 through May 23, 2023. The investigation further determined that, through this infiltration, cybercriminals accessed and copied files containing the sensitive personal information of potentially 858,238 individuals.

  • Dates of birth
  • Medical information
  • Health insurance information
  • Payment card information
  • Driver’s license numbers

As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
