SogoTrade Data Breach

On March 18, 2025, SogoTrade, Inc. (“SogoTrade”) identified suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a subsequent forensic investigation, SogoTrade determined that cybercriminals conducted a successful phishing campaign that infiltrated its employee email accounts between May 8, 2024, and May 22, 2024. The investigation further determined that, through this infiltration, cybercriminals potentially accessed and/or stole files containing the sensitive personal information of potentially 48,696 individuals.

The information exposed in the data breach includes, but is not limited to:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account information
  • Tax ID numbers

As a result of the SogoTrade data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
