On July 5, 2022, Methodist McKinney Hospital became aware of a likely data breach involving its network. Based on a forensic investigation, Methodist McKinney Hospital confirmed that cybercriminals had infiltrated its systems and gained unauthorized access to certain files, including files containing patients’ personal and protected health information. According to Methodist McKinney Hospital, cybercriminals accessed or acquired the personal and protected health information of 110,244 individuals.
