OBI Seafoods Data Breach

On August 16, 2024, OBI Seafoods, LLC (“OBI Seafoods”) detected suspicious activity on its computer network, indicating a data breach. Based on a subsequent forensic investigation, OBI Seafoods determined that cybercriminals infiltrated its inadequately secured computer environment and thereby gained access to its data files. The investigation further determined that, through this infiltration, cybercriminals potentially accessed and acquired files containing the sensitive personal information of thousands of individuals, including current and former employees and vendors of OBI Seafoods and Ocean Beauty Seafoods, LLC (“OBS”).
