On March 30, 2023, NextGen Healthcare, Inc. (“NextGen Healthcare”) detected unusual activity on its internal network, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, NextGen Healthcare confirmed that unauthorized cybercriminals gained access to its computer system between March 29, 2023, and April 14, 2023. Following further review, NextGen Healthcare confirmed that the accessed files contained the electronically stored personal information of at least 1,049,375 individuals.

- Addresses
As a result of the data breach, these individuals’ personal and highly confidential information may be in the hands of cybercriminals who can place the information for sale on the dark web or use the information to perpetrate identity fraud.
